Mobile crane rental: Everything you need to know
Is a mobile crane the right machine for my project?
Elevate your construction projects with rentmas' extensive range of mobile crane rentals. These powerful machines offer unparalleled lifting capabilities, making them indispensable for projects requiring heavy material handling at various heights. Mobile cranes provide the strength and reach necessary to tackle challenging lifting tasks in construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
A mobile crane is a crane that is mounted on either crawlers or tires and can be easily transported between job sites with or without a load. The classification of mobile cranes typically depends on their lifting capacity and boom length: these machines are categorized according to their maximum load and reach. Mobile cranes available through the rentmas platform feature lifting capacities ranging from 2 to 400 tons and boom lengths extending up to 60 meters. For even greater lifting capacities or reach, check out our selection of fast-erecting and top-slewing cranes. If you need a machine with more versatility of movement and material placement options, check out our selection of telehandlers.
When selecting a mobile crane, consider the specific requirements of your project site. Factors such as ground conditions, available space, and lifting requirements will influence whether a truck-mounted crane, rough terrain crane, or all-terrain crane is the appropriate machine for your needs.
Mobile cranes offer exceptional flexibility and power, allowing operators to perform lifts in various environments where stationary cranes may not be practical. These machines combine mobility with impressive lifting capabilities, making them ideal for both short-term and long-term projects. However, they are primarily designed for vertical and radial lifting, unlike telescopic handlers which offer more versatile material placement options.
Mobile cranes can be equipped with numerous attachments to enhance their versatility. The standard configuration typically includes a telescopic boom and outriggers for stability. Other common features and options include:
- Jibs and extensions: For increased reach
- Multiple counterweight configurations: For optimal balance
- Hydraulic luffing systems: For precise load positioning
- Load moment indicators: For enhanced safety
- Specialized lifting hooks and slings: For various load types
- Operator cab with climate control: For comfort in all weather conditions
