Generator rental: Everything you need to know
Power up your operations with rentmas' selection of generator rentals. These versatile units deliver reliable power supply solutions, making them essential for projects requiring consistent electrical output across various applications. Generators provide the dependable energy source needed to maintain operations in construction, events, emergency backup, and industrial applications.
Is a generator the right machine for my project?
A generator is a power generation unit that converts mechanical energy into electrical power and can be transported between locations as needed. The classification of generators typically depends on their power output and fuel type: these units are categorized according to their kilowatt capacity and energy source. Generators available through the rentmas platform deliver power outputs ranging from 5 to 450 kVa and can run continuously from 11 and up to 72 hours on a single fuel tank.
For residential installations, small commercial buildings, and light industrial equipment, check out our generators up to 125 kVa. For medium-sized commercial facilities, manufacturing equipment, and data center backup systems, see our range of generators from 125 to 300 kVa. For large industrial processes, heavy manufacturing, major commercial/industrial facilities and large-scale data centers, our selection of generators above 500 kVa will be the best fit for your project.
When choosing a generator, don’t forget to evaluate the specific needs of your project site. Factors such as power requirements, noise restrictions, and fuel availability will determine whether a diesel or benzene generator is the most suitable option for your needs.
Generators provide exceptional reliability and adaptability, enabling continuous power supply in various settings where grid connection may be unavailable or insufficient. These units combine portability with substantial power generation capabilities, making them suitable for both emergency backup and planned power supply projects. However, they are primarily designed for electrical power generation, unlike UPS systems which offer protection against power fluctuations.
Generators can be equipped with various features to enhance their functionality. The standard configuration typically includes an alternator and voltage regulator for stable output. Other common features and options include:
- Automatic transfer switches: For seamless power transition
- Remote monitoring systems: For real-time performance tracking
- Parallel operation capability: For increased power capacity
- Sound attenuation enclosures: For noise reduction
- Fuel polishing systems: For optimal fuel quality
- Weather-resistant housing: For protection in all conditions
